About Rummy.now

Rummy.now is a free place to play the card games you already know and love, right in your browser. No download, no signup, and no waiting. Open the page and you are melding your first hand in seconds. Our mission is simple: keep classic rummy fast, fair, and free for everyone, on any device.

What Rummy.now is

We are a small team that grew up playing rummy around the kitchen table and wanted a version that respects your time. Every game here runs in your web browser against a smart computer opponent, so there is nothing to install and nothing to update. You can start with Gin Rummy, the most famous two-player rummy, or jump straight into Rummy or Rummy 500. It is all free, and it always will be.

What makes us different

A lot of card sites feel cluttered and slow. We built ours to feel clean and quick.

  • Real-time multiplayer. Race a friend on the exact same deal with live progress bars in our multiplayer rooms.
  • 11 full games. From Gin Rummy and Rummy 500 to Indian Rummy, Kalooki, Canasta, Contract Rummy and Tonk, every major variant is here.
  • A daily challenge. One seeded deal per day, the same for everyone, so you can compare and build a streak.
  • A clean, calm feel. No pop-ups fighting for your attention and no clutter between you and the cards.

How the games work

We care about getting the details right. Every deal is shuffled from a fair, seeded deck, which means the cards are random but repeatable. That is what lets two players share the same multiplayer deal or the same daily challenge. Our rules follow the traditional versions of each game - real sets and runs, real deadwood and knocking, real jokers where they belong - and you can read them in plain English on the rules hub.

Your stats, streaks, and preferences are saved right in your browser, so you can play as a guest and still keep your progress. Want to sync across devices and appear on the leaderboards? Create a free account. It is optional, and you never need one just to play.

Who it is for

Rummy.now is for anyone who likes a good card game. Maybe you want a quiet five minutes with a quick round of Tonk. Maybe you love the sharp duel of Straight Gin, where you have to go Gin to win. Maybe you just want to beat a friend head-to-head. Beginners can learn the ropes on the rules pages, and long-time players can chase cleaner wins and bigger scores. There is room for both.

Our standards

We hold ourselves to a few simple promises:

  • Accurate rules. Each game follows its traditional rules, so what you learn here carries over to a real deck of cards.
  • Honest gameplay. A fair, seeded shuffle and a computer opponent that plays by the same rules you do - no stacked decks, no peeking at your hand.
  • Privacy-respecting. We keep data collection light and explain exactly what we store in our privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions about Rummy.now

Is Rummy.now free?

Yes. Every game, the daily challenge, the leaderboard and online multiplayer are free to play in your browser, with no download and no signup. An optional free account only adds cross-device stats.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. Rummy.now runs entirely in your web browser on desktop, tablet and phone. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app, but there is nothing to install and nothing to update.

Is Rummy.now safe to use?

Yes. The site uses HTTPS, never sells personal data, and lets you play everything as a guest. Your wins and stats are saved in your own browser, not on a server, unless you choose to sign in and sync them.

What makes Rummy.now different from other Rummy sites?

Alongside Gin Rummy and ten more Rummy variants and a daily challenge, Rummy.now offers real-time multiplayer: you and a friend play the same live game head-to-head on separate devices. Almost no other Rummy site has that.

Who made Rummy.now?

Rummy.now is an independent, ad-light free Rummy site built for people who actually play. You can read more on the About page and reach the team through the contact form.
